Amherst College

Amherst is part of the Five College Consortium. The schools share books, class listings, and other things with the following other colleges in Western Massachusetts: Smith College and Mount Holyoke (both women’s colleges), Hampshire College, which is known for alternative learning environments, and UMass, which is the flagship campus of the University of Massachusetts.
