Auburn is home to 33,000 students – 27,000 of those are undergraduates. In the fall of 2023, their entering class was 6000 students, which is the most they have ever had. 53.5% of their students come from in-state, 12% are from Georgia, and 5% are from Florida. Because they are a land grant institution, they are required to have a 60 to 40 ratio of in-state to out of state students. At the present time, it is 53% in-state and 47% out of state. More than 80 countries are represented as well as all of the states, Auburn is part of the SEC and obviously is a very large school. They do have a small, community feel to the campus. The average class size is 40 students or less. The student to faculty ratio is 20 to 1, and 89% of their full-time faculty have the terminal degree in their field. 41% of women and 27% of men participate in Greek life.
Auburn is a test preferred institution, but there is a test optional pathway. There is a heavy emphasis placed on those who do submit scores.
