Boston College

Boston College is located in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, which is six miles from downtown Boston. Public transportation (the T) runs from downtown right to campus. BC is home to 15,000 students, 10,000 of which are undergrads. Their top majors are economics, biology, political science, communication, psychology, history, finance, accounting, and marketing. 25% of their students are in the school of management, and 2/3 of them are enrolled in the college of arts and sciences. Once students apply to a certain school, it is hard to transfer to other schools within BC because they are full. However, students can minor in a subject area in a different college. Boston College is an R1 research university, which means they are in the top 3% of research universities nationwide. 34% of the students participate in research.
