They have about 22,000 undergraduates with a student to teacher ratio of 16 to one. The average class size is 32 students (but last year it was 27), and less than 5% of their classes have more than 100 students. All of their entry-level English and math classes are capped at 30 students. They are a test optional school, and they review students holistically. Since they are a land grant institution, they need to have 60% of their students come from in-state. Their mid range SAT score is from 1240 to 1400, and the mid range ACT is 28 to 32. 57% of their students were in the top 10% of their class, and 86% of their students were in the top 20%. Last year over 53,000 students applied and almost 23,000 were accepted.
