It is a medium sized liberal arts school with about 7000 students on this main campus. The first year class here is about 1450 students. When students are applying on the Common App, they are to check which campus or campuses they would like to apply to and which decision plan (early/regular) they would like for each. Students are encouraged to apply to both campuses to keep their options open. Emory has a 10% admit rate. They typically receive about 34,000 applications and give out about 200 scholarships. The average recalculated and unweighted GPA of their incoming students is a 3.8. They are test optional and view a student's transcript as the most important document when they’re considering admissions. When they recalculate that GPA, it is only from 10th and 11th grade. They do see ninth grade grades on the transcript, but they are not calculated into the GPA. They also meet 100% of students' demonstrated need with no loans.
