There are about 5500 undergrads who attend Marist. They also have about 1000 graduate students. The student to faculty ratio is 16:1 with an average class size of 18-26. Marist is home to 23 varsity sports teams that compete at the Division one level. Marist is a highly selective college, and they are a test-optional institution. Last year, 39% of the incoming class chose not to submit scores. Over the past five years, the acceptance rate for submitters and non-submitters has been very similar. Marist recalculates GPAs as most colleges do. The middle 50% of the incoming class was between 3.1-3.7, the middle 50% of SAT scores for those who chose to report them was 1210-1340, and the middle 50% ACT score was 26-31. 90% of Marist students receive financial aid.
