Northeastern University
Boston, MA
What really makes Northeastern unique is that their academics are enhanced with powerful experiences such as their co-op, global experiences, research, and service learning. When students do a co-op at Northeastern, they are employed full-time for six months. This is a real job, not an internship. Students gain professional experience to add to their résumé. Northeastern has more than 2900 co-op employers worldwide that they work with. Students can do their first co-op as early as their second year. Many of them will graduate with a year or more of work experience, and this can be done globally. When students are doing their co-op, they are not taking any classes. They are fully immersing themselves in the workforce.
Northeastern is an R1 global research powerhouse. They do research in all subject areas, and this can begin in a student’s first year. They are a very diverse and welcoming campus and have students from 50 states and 114 countries.
